{"id":192,"date":"2022-09-27T09:06:25","date_gmt":"2022-09-27T07:06:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.congressi.unisi.it\/ewdsy\/?page_id=192"},"modified":"2023-02-15T12:42:02","modified_gmt":"2023-02-15T11:42:02","slug":"home-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.congressi.unisi.it\/ewdsy\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The University of Siena and the Department of Biotechnology Chemistry &amp; Pharmacy announces the 9<sup>th<\/sup> Edition of the European Workshop in Drug Synthesis (EWDSy) for researchers from Universities and Pharmaceutical Industries.<br>The Workshop will take place from 21<sup>st<\/sup> -24<sup>th<\/sup> May 2023 as tradition in the beautiful Certosa di Pontignano, an old Carthusian monastery in the middle of Chianti countryside, located just 4 Km north from the Medieval city of Siena, Tuscany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"831\" height=\"200\" src=\"http:\/\/www.congressi.unisi.it\/ewdsy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/110\/2022\/10\/banner-web.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-234\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.congressi.unisi.it\/ewdsy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/110\/2022\/10\/banner-web.png 831w, https:\/\/www.congressi.unisi.it\/ewdsy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/110\/2022\/10\/banner-web-300x72.png 300w, https:\/\/www.congressi.unisi.it\/ewdsy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/110\/2022\/10\/banner-web-768x185.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 831px) 85vw, 831px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>First in his kind, the biannual EWDSy was created in 2006 by Prof. Maurizio Botta and it has always been an unique opportunity for graduate students, postdocs and scientists from both academia and pharmaceutical industry to discuss cutting-edge medicinal chemistry technologies and synthetic methodologies applied to drug discovery and development in an exciting and collaborative environment.<br>The 9<sup>th<\/sup> Edition of the EWDSy will cover various topics in medicinal chemistry and drug synthesis, including bioconjugation techniques and antibody drug conjugates, antimicrobial resistance, green and sustainable approaches in medicinal chemistry.
