{"id":1650,"date":"2019-12-13T16:38:01","date_gmt":"2019-12-13T15:38:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.congressi.unisi.it\/ecce2020\/?page_id=1650"},"modified":"2019-12-13T16:38:58","modified_gmt":"2019-12-13T15:38:58","slug":"about-the-conference","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.congressi.unisi.it\/ecce2021\/about-the-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"ABOUT THE CONFERENCE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">ECCE 2020 is the 32nd annual conference of the European Association of Cognitive Ergonomics (EACE).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">This leading conference in human-media interaction and cognitive engineering provides an opportunity for both researchers and practitioners to exchange new ideas and practical experiences from a variety of domains.&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The special theme for ECCE conference in 2020 is:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&#8220;<b>Designing virtual and physical interactive systems<\/b>&#8220;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Today&#8217;s technologies allow new interactive opportunities and access to digital media, services and smart products. These afford the creation of cooperative practices between agents distant in time and space and the development of tailored and ubiquitous services\/systems closer to the people\u2019s needs and expectations. This way they have a tremendous opportunity to foster inclusion and diversity and break down the boundaries between places and levels of participation. In these scenarios, cognitive processes are expressed, modified and developed in interactions with systems whose boundaries between virtuality and materiality are increasingly blurred.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The design of interactive systems that consider physical and virtual realities as well as exploration of mixed materiality calls for new methodological insights, ethical reflections, and sustainable practices openings unexplored perspectives.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">ECCE 20<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">20<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> seeks to encourage <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">an interdisciplinary <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">dialogue and discussion among participants <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">related to<\/span> <span lang=\"EN-US\">general<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> topics <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">of cognitive ergonomics <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">as well as this year\u2019s special theme.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">We invite various types of contributions from researchers and practitioners \u2013 including long and short papers \u2013 which address the broad spectrum of cognitive ergonomics challenges in the analysis, design, and evaluation of virtual and ph<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">y<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">sical <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">interactive systems<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ECCE 2020 is the 32nd annual conference of the European Association of Cognitive Ergonomics (EACE).
