Structure and governance:
Based at the Law Department of the University of Siena, under the direction of Prof. Marco Ventura, the Programme gathers scholars in law and the humanities from the University of Siena as well as from other Universities in Italy and abroad.
Description:
Founded in 2002, in continuity with the tradition of law and religion studies at the University of Siena (dating back to Medieval canon law and civil law and revived in the 1940s by constitutional judge Mario Bracci and in 1972 and 1981 through the momentous conferences convened by Anna Ravà), the programme associates scholars from Siena and other universities with an interest in the various aspects of education and research in law and religion.
