The Accounting History International Emerging Scholars’ Colloquium 2024
This international forum is designed for emerging scholars of all ages and career stages, including doctoral degree students, new faculty and other emerging accounting researchers who have an interest in accounting history, and who seek to obtain feedback from senior faculty members on their historical accounting research projects in an intellectually stimulating environment.
The Accounting History International Emerging Scholars’ Colloquium (AHIESC) will be held as part of the 12th Accounting History International Conference (12AHIC) being held in Siena, Italy from 4-6 September 2024. The AHIESC will be conducted on the first day of the 12AHIC (on the day of registration and the opening reception), enabling up to 10 emerging scholars in accounting history to present their research proposals.
A panel of experienced accounting history scholars will comment on the formal presentations made by each participant and offer constructive advice and encouragement to all presenters.

10:00 to 10:10 Opening and introductions
10:10 to 11:10 Proposal presentations (2 rooms)
11:10 to 11:30 Coffee break
11:30 to 13:00 Proposal presentations (2 rooms)
13:00 Light lunch (only for the participants to the Doctoral Colloquium)
Each proposal presentation will be 20 minutes. There will be 5 minutes for the discussant and 5 minutes for questions.
