It is well-known that classical as well as modern research areas in the control field face the omnipresent problem that the available models for analysis and design are known only partially due to the presence of uncertainties. This is even more evident when considering emerging research topics, such as networked control, energy systems and systems biology, in which the uncertainty affecting the models plays a key role. This calls for new approaches both to systems modeling, that has to devise suitable uncertainty representations, and to the resulting control problems, which have to face the challenges related to the presence of uncertainty.

The aim of this workshop is to gather problems, ideas, and potential solutions in this context, from very well-known experts of the field, in order to provide educational opportunities and catalyze research discussions for the attendees.

The workshop will take place in Siena in occasion of the celebration of the 60th birthday of Prof. Antonio Vicino.
