ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Your abstract submission will become effective only after registration and full payment of the conference fees!

“Kindly note: All abstract of meeting participants are automatically accepted, but only become operational upon full registration.”

 

IMPORTANT DATES

Submissions accepted from:      January 1, 2015
Submission deadline:                  April 1, 2015, 23:59 CET
Notifications to submitters:          Mid-May 2015

Abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted!

Please note that your abstract submission will become effective only after registration and full payment of the conference fees!

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Browser Requirements: Internet Explorer 8.0 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 5.0 or higher, Chrome 16
or higher are required.
· Cookies need to be enabled
· All pop-up blockers should be turned off

GENERAL
Abstracts can only be submitted online via the online abstract submission form that can be found in the section “abstracts” on the official NSV 2015 website.

Abstracts must be submitted in English
Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.

DEFINITIONS
· Submitting author: Person who physically submits the abstract
· Presenting author: Person who will physically present the abstract at the congress and who is marked as the presenter in the program

RULES
Failure to observe these guidelines may result in disqualification.
1. Click on ‘’Registration and abstracts submission’’ and follow instructions as given.
2. Abbreviations should be defined.
3. The abstract cannot contain more than 2’000 characters (blank spaces and punctuation included).
4. The abstract has not a mandatory structure.
5. If you have successfully submitted your abstract, a confirmation number will be given at the end of the submission. If no confirmation number is indicated, the abstract cannot be considered as successfully submitted and accepted.
6. Abstracts are accepted on a wide range of topics. The submitter has to select the right topic for the abstract on the submission form. Available topics are:

–          In and out and moving about
–          RNA synthesis and gene expression
–          Structure and function
–          Antiviral response
–          Host pathogene interaction
–          Pathogenesis
–          Vaccines, antivirales and therapeutic viruses
–          Natural and unnatural virus evolution

7. Submitted abstracts can be re-edited and modified until the submission deadline (April 1, 2015, 23:59 CET). Therefore, the author submitting the abstract will be required to provide his/her email address as the login and a preferred password during the submission. To save the abstract, all required fields (marked with a *) must be filled in. If you leave the system without having provisionally submitted the abstract, all data is lost. The submitted abstracts cannot be edited after the submission deadline (April 1, 2015, 23:59 CET).
8. Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors. No corrections are possible after the submission deadline. The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted. No proofreading will be done.
9. If you need to withdraw your abstract, a written statement reflecting the reasons for this decision must be sent to: nsvabs@mci-group.com

PRESENTATION OF ABSTRACTS
· Abstracts can be accepted as oral or poster communication.
· The Abstract Grading Committee will select submitted abstracts and determine whether they are accepted for oral or poster presentation.
· If your abstract is accepted, you will be requested to be available for discussion during the corresponding poster viewing session.

 GENERAL REMARKS
· Abstract submission will become effective only after registration and full payment of the conference fees!
· Submitting Authors will be notified by mid-May 2015 whether their abstract has been accepted, and they will be informed at the same time about the date, time and form of their presentation. All notifications will be sent out to the email address given on the submission form.
